The congregation of Providence OPC gives thanks for three couples who recently joined their ranks at the end of January – One of the couples is seasoned in Christian faith and service and has proven to be a wonderful encouragement to the flock; another of the couples professed faith with a great desire to walk with the Lord and at the time of his profession the husband, now in his mid-20’s, was also baptized (and now they are expecting their first covenant child in late spring); the third couple grew up in Mifflinburg and came to the Reformed faith while attending Lancaster Bible College and will be married after their graduation in May.
In addition to these new members, Providence has enjoyed a flurry of visitors since the beginning of the New Year.
Please pray that a couple who has been attending the evening service regularly will come out from the theologically liberal congregation in which they were raised without fear and without looking back.
Finally, pray that a young man in his mid-20’s, who is presently doing service work at Providence, would have his heart opened to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
