When Todd Wagenmaker and his family moved to St. Louis, MO six years ago they drove half an hour to worship at what is now Christ OPC. Eventually, the decision was made for the Wagenmakers and others from the Southwestern part of St. Louis to plant a new church. Nearly every one of the families in the original group has moved due to job transfers, but the Lord has graciously brought new families to the group, and about 40 people gather to worship on Sunday mornings. As Gateway OPC begins denominational financial assistance, Pastor Wagenmaker is setting aside his tentmaking occupations as a lawyer and the headmaster of a Christian school. Pray that God will bless him in this transition. Pray also that God will use the congregation’s outreach efforts to establish a Reformed work where Christ is preached, and the flock is shepherded.
