At the end of March, one covenant child was baptized and another made profession of faith. A third person joined by letter of transfer and a fourth was baptized after making profession of faith. Volunteers from other OP congregations have made good progress on the manse renovation project, completing demolition and construction of bedrooms for the Bennett’s children. (The project is combining two apartments above Neon Reformed’s auditorium.) Another team is scheduled to work on the living space this summer. A few new visitors have come recently, but one key family moved out of state. Pray that these would become regular visitors, and that more will be added to the flock. Pastor Jay Bennett noted that for the first time, local people outnumber transplants in the work. Pray too that God will raise up local people who can serve as officers. Pastor Bennett recently spoke to a reformed student ministry at Alice Lloyd College about 30 minutes from Neon. Pray that the Lord will use the congregation to bless these students.
