The first worship service of what is now called Reformation Presbyterian was held last Sunday afternoon. Lacey (Debbie) Andrews, RHM for the Presbytery of the Southeast and Steve (Joanie) Doe, RHM for the Presbytery of the Mid-Atlantic will share preaching duties for now. Those in the core group have been active hosting the Bible study, creating a Web presence and looking for suitable meeting facilities. Ask the Lord to provide a meeting space that will allow for either morning or evening worship. Pray too for wisdom as the group prepares to petition the Presbytery of the Southeast for mission status. Another group has begun worship services every other Sunday in Gaithersburg, MD. Steve Doe says of the young group, “They are evangelistic, they network like crazy, and they really care about each other.” Pray for wisdom as weekly worship services are considered in the fall. Praise God for the ministers from around the presbytery who have been willing to fill the pulpit.
