Hillsdale OPC is scheduled to close on its new building, a 19th century railroad depot complete with a new addition, early next week. Workdays are scheduled soon after in the hopes of holding the first worship service on November 17. The facility is located three blocks from the Hillsdale College campus, which is convenient for the many students who attend. Pray that the Lord will provide all that is needed – including 150 chairs – during the transition. Pray too, for continued unity through the transition. Five new families have joined the congregation this year, and attendance at morning worship has been hovering around 100. Pastor Everett (Kimberly) Henes reports that another great group of students, both those from other OP churches and others has been attending worship and has become involved in congregational life. Hillsdale OPC also had a booth at the county fair and Pastor Henes’s column runs in two local papers.
