The people of Holy Trinity Presbyterian Church have a zeal for evangelism. They continue to hold monthly worship services at a local retirement center. They recently went to another retirement center and had many good conversations. Pastor Chad (Katie) Mullinix spoke with a woman whose son has tried to dissuade her trust in God. Pray that such conversations will bear much fruit. Members also handed out about 250 fliers in a neighborhood around the church. Plans are to do this in different neighborhoods throughout the year. The chaplain in the local jail teaches a class on the Westminster Confession of Faith. One former inmate has joined Holy Trinity, and recently an entire row of former inmates attended worship. Pray that the congregation will minister effectively to these men. The diaconal training course has ended, and the session will soon meet to certify candidates. A nursery program has been started. Pray for God’s blessing on a Sunday school class beginning this week to equip families to host neighborhood Bible studies.
