Pastor Albaugh has recovered from the weakness he had as a result of internal bleeding. After sitting to preach for several weeks, he was able to stand for his sermon last week. Praise God for providing a full recovery of strength. The congregation will lose several families in the coming months as they finish seminary and move on to other places of ministry. That will leave about 20 people in the congregation. The most recent outreach event had many visitors, but only one came to worship, and she has not returned. Pray that the Lord will bring more local visitors to worship. Pray that some who have drifted away will be brought back into fellowship. Praise God for a good relationship with the Christian school where the congregation meets.

About 75 people are gathering for worship each week. Several new young single adults have been attending worship. Pastor Arendale reports that the congregation’s website is being revamped. Pray that the new site will be a good tool to reach people in the community. The congregation has not seen many new visitors to worship lately. Pray that more will come. Plans are also being made for a conference on the end times with Kim Riddlebarger in April, a community picnic in May, and VBS in June. The congregation has not seen many visitors to worship from previous outreach events. Pray that these will yield much fruit. The focus and heart of Gospel Life Church continues to be reaching non-Christians with the gospel here in downtown Chicago. Several people are very active in praying for and befriending their non-Christian coworkers and classmates, with the hopes of sharing the gospel with them and inviting them to church activities or services. The Wednesday night outreach Bible study at Whole Foods Market continues to draw new visitors every week. Please pray that God will use this outreach effort to reach the unsaved with the gospel and for God's wisdom as we deal with several counseling issues.
