Pray for wisdom as the congregation seeks to effectively reach out to their community. Pastor Myers is praying that the Lord will add ten families to the work this year. Pray that people will be intentionally welcoming as new families are added. Pray that God will raise up officers. A young woman in the congregation is battling cancer. Pray that the Lord will bless her treatments and heal her. Pray for peace for her and her family. Pastor Myers leads both men’s and women’s Bible studies at a local college. Pray that the students will be blessed through the studies.
Pastor Strong reports that Grace Reformed Fellowship ordained and installed a new elder and two new deacons recently. Pray that the Lord will give wisdom as they learn how to share the work of leading the congregation. A renewed emphasis on shepherding has been well received. Pray that the elders will minister effectively to the body. Participation at the Wednesday night Bible study has been encouraging. The congregation is preparing for the upcoming Winter Fair, and Pastor Strong recently had the opportunity to present the gospel at a local political breakfast. Pray that the Lord will use these and other interactions to bring people to himself. Praise God for the work that is evident in the children of the congregation.
The dumpster is ordered and renovations to San Antonio Reformed Church’s new location are set to be complete in a couple of weeks. Pray for wisdom as the congregation makes decisions on how to use the storefront space in the north central part of town throughout the week. While giving has been good, the new rent is slightly higher than their current meeting location (which they have for only four hours on Sunday). Pray for continued financial stability. Two covenant children recently professed their faith and several more are preparing to do so. Two local adults joined the church in the last few weeks, and several who have moved into the area are transferring their membership. Several other local couples have begun attending recently.

Pray for wisdom as they consider this move from the community center where they currently meet. Many in the congregation have been ill or traveling, and Pastor Hartshorn says the congregation is plowing through a slow season. He adds, though, that the core group is strong and finances are stable. Many in the group are new to the faith or Reformed doctrine. Pray that the Lord will add mature Christians and raise up leaders to share in the work. About 20 people attended the group’s Thursday evening Bible study in Pasadena last week, and there is growing interest in a second Bible study in Corona.
Remember to keep in prayer Sovereign Grace OPC as they complete their program of denominational financial assistance. Pray that the Lord will provide financially for the congregation. We have asked you to pray for mature Christians to come to Sovereign Grace, and several new families have moved to the area and have begun regularly attending worship. The congregation is running radio ads, and plans are being laid for outreach and evangelism for the year to come. Pray that the Lord will bless these efforts with much fruit. Pray too for wisdom in ministering to the young people at Sovereign Grace OPC. Pray that the Lord will encourage the congregation.
