Grace Reformed Fellowship (OPC) is finding its new location to be a blessing. Several of Pastor Strong’s sermons were aired on a radio station in Carson City, Nevada, which serves several states. Some visitors came to worship after hearing the broadcast. Several people are taking a new members class. The Bible study that was held in Riverton has been moved to Lander as Todd Smith, the study’s leader and host, has become the Stated Supply at Faith Bible Church (OPC) in Brick, New Jersey. Pray that God will give wisdom to Grace Reformed Fellowship as it considers men for office. Pray too that the congregation will delight in the Lord more and more, and be united with one another in love.
After a period with no visitors, three people from the community attended worship. Pray that advertising efforts and personal contacts made by members will bear fruit in more people coming to worship. Attendance has been steady, and giving has been encouraging. Several college students have had some involvement with Providence Reformed Church (OPC). The church ran an ad in a recent special student edition of a local newspaper. Pray that more students will come to worship. One family drives about an hour from Thorpe, Wisconsin to attend worship. This Saturday Pastor Kuhfuss will begin a Bible study there. One person has already responded to advertising and indicated an interest in attending.
Despite a snowstorm Providence OPC’s first evening worship service was well attended. Two men are participating in an officer training course. Three large families have expressed interest in beginning membership classes, and a single man is transferring his membership to Providence. Several other new visitors have also attended worship, many finding the congregation through its website and Sermon Audio page. Pray that the Lord will provide a new worship space. The congregation’s lease is up in June, and worship attendance is close to capacity in the current space. Pray for wisdom as the congregation has an informal meeting to discuss taking steps toward organization as a new and separate congregation.
A new heating system has been installed in Hillsdale OPC’s building, allowing members to hear and be warm at the same time. Fifty additional chairs were recently purchased for the auditorium, and many are already filled. Praise the Lord that morning worship attendance has been averaging over 110. Several community visitors have attended the most recent outreach Bible study, and those who began visiting earlier in the year have become regular attenders at worship. Hillsdale will soon have its eighth adult baptism and its eighth covenant baptism. Four more babies are expected in the next few months. Pray that the new members will continue to be well integrated into the body. Please pray for wisdom for the session and congregation as they
One family is transferring their membership to Gateway OPC, and several others have been attending worship regularly. One of these families has not yet professed faith in Christ, but has expressed interest in the gospel. Pray that the Lord will work in their hearts and bring them to salvation. Pastor Wagenmaker says the congregation gives generously. Praise the Lord for his financial provision for the work. Members enjoyed fellowship at the annual fall picnic, and the men are looking forward to an upcoming retreat with other Orthodox Presbyterian men in the area. Pastor Wagenmaker is considering a call to another congregation. He asks for prayer for wisdom and for the congregation during a time of uncertainty.
