The weather is heating up in Naples, so Christ the King Presbyterian Church has said goodbye to their snowbirds and greeted their first tropical storm of the new hurricane season. Attendance on Easter Sunday was at an all-time high of 142. Officers were installed on April 27, as the church became a particular congregation. Give thanks to God for raising up officers, sustaining this group with steady growth, and for some new local regular visitors. Every Sunday 5 or 6 Haitian-American children come morning and evening from a nearby apartment complex. As the congregation prepares to purchase a 5-acre property, pray that the purchase goes smoothly and for wisdom as they meet with county zoning officials. Intern Ryan Heaton is finishing his internship this summer and Ben Ward will be coming in late August as the next year-long intern.
