Last month, Reformation OPC participated in a Church Connections Fair at nearby Regent University. Among the many interactions, Lowell met a married couple who later attended worship at Reformation one time. Lowell was happy to see how the congregation reached out to them— welcoming them with open arms and showing them the love of Christ, as they are learning to do well. Later on, the Iveys had this couple over for lunch in their home and learned that they would describe their religious background as “eclectic,” appreciating beliefs ranging from Roman Catholicism to Reformed Presbyterianism. Lowell expressed that their time together over lunch provided a good opportunity to talk about these things in a non-threatening way, and they are praying for the Lord’s leading for this couple. Lowell also requests prayer for wisdom regarding the possibility of a new Bible study to begin in the Yorktown area, as well as a coming Reformation Conference they will host October 26-28 on “Christian Sabbath: Living in Light of the Resurrection”.
