Jay reports that Neon Reformed Presbyterian Church has several students visiting worship and small groups. He asks that you pray for Blake, Austin, Braxton, Patience, Chris, and Elizabeth. All are growing in the faith and could be future members. The small group studies in Pikeville and at Alice Lloyd College continue to go well. In addition to these praises, Jay shares that he will begin premarital counseling with two members soon. Another family is expecting a new son in the next month. And Jay’s daughter and Grace Ann Long (a Trisomy child) just recited the Children’s Catechism. Praise God for these blessings! Pray that the Lord would continue to grow the church, both numerically and spiritually. Pray, too, for a former Pentecostal preacher that Jay and a couple others have been speaking with. This man fell away through adultery and alcohol abuse. He presented himself as broken and desirous of renewal in the faith. They’ve counseled him about the discipline of the Lord, prayed for him, and encouraged him to visit. He hasn’t visited yet, but they continue to pray for him, and ask you to pray as well.
