Calvin’s first Sunday as pastor at Harvest OPC was December 2. That same Sunday the church received seven communicant members and three covenant children, one of whom was presented for baptism. Calvin shares that the group appears ready to work together on fellowship and evangelism, and they seem to really enjoy and care for one another. While Calvin and Connie were waiting to move into their new home, they held a Bible study in the apartment building where they were living. After Calvin went door to door inviting people to the study, six people attended. One of them, an elderly woman named Muriel, an unbeliever, has also come to worship the last two Sundays. Please pray that the Spirit would be active in Muriel’s heart. Also, pray for the Keller’s realtor Royda, who has attended sporadically. Pray too for plans to share the gospel at nearby Wake Forest University, and pray for the church as it seeks to develop a culture of evangelism. Finally, give thanks for the recent profession of faith and baptism of Caycee Justus.
