The Presbytery of Central PA is currently supporting two mission works: Covenant OPC in Chambersburg and Grace and Truth in Mifflintown. Chris Walmer, the part-time regional home missions coordinator, shares that Covenant continues to seek new contacts through a regular door-hanger program. In the fall, Covenant is planning occasional evangelistic Sunday evening services. Pastor Josh McKamy will preach about how the Bible speaks to various issues affecting the lives of people in the community. Pastor Ron Beabout and the congregation at Grace and Truth have also been hard at work making new contacts in the community. On May 18, the church sponsored a stand at the local Spring Festival. Since it was a rather warm spring day, folks appreciated the water they handed out along with animal crackers for the kids. Information about the church was handed out as well. Several in depth conversations were had with people who were very interested in the Reformed faith. Thank you for your prayers in support of these church planting efforts. Please continue to pray that the Holy Spirit would work in the hearts of the people of Chambersburg and Mifflintown so they would respond to the faithful preaching of His Word and the love of His people.
