During the last part of this year, the Houston ministry has taken on a wonderful communal character. As the denominational disaster relief committee started pulling back, the Houston churches (Providence, Cornerstone, and Good Shepherd) all joined together to continue working on disaster relief. Evangelist Nick Lammé says, “Praise the Lord with me, not only for the more efficient coordination among our churches, but also for the testimony of Christian unity that it shows to the world.” Nick also gives thanks for the Bible study they started in September in East Houston. They have been studying “How to Read the Bible” and it has been well attended. One family in particular has shown very serious interest. Please pray for Wendy and Patrick, who have not missed a single study. Also, pray that the Lord would continue to open doors through this study to other interested families. Give thanks and continue to pray for the outreach efforts to Kathy and her family. Their home had to be demolished because of mold. Nick and others helped move their belongings, and Nick has been able to pray with Kathy and her son, as well as read and study Scripture with them. Finally, ask the Lord to continue to use Nick as he goes door to door to invite people to church and the Bible study.
