We give thanks to the Lord that Reformation Presbyterian Church (RPC) became an organized congregation on December 13! Lowell Ivey was called to serve as the pastor and shares that he is both “humbled and thrilled at the privilege of serving this expression of Christ’s body and bride.” The congregation also voted to call officers— one ruling elder and two deacons. Since RPC has seen significant growth in a short period of time, and has begun a daughter mission work (Peninsula Reformed inYorktown, VA) the congregation voted to augment the Session with two other elders: Rev. Lacy Andrews and Rev. Steve Doe.Both of these men have significant church planting experience and will continue to guide the congregation. The Lord has answered many prayers, not least of which being the congregation’s prayer that Rev. Doe’s health would improve so that he could continue his ministry at RPC. He now visits the church twice a month to preach and shepherd the flock. “In the words of Psalm 126, ‘The LORD has done great things for us, and we are glad!’” (Ps. 126:3).
