Pastor Matthew Cotta shares, “Pasadena OPC is joyfully, hopefully, and prayerfully looking forward to what the Lord will do among us in the new year.” Thus far He has already added new members to their church family, and there are several more in the process of becoming members. Some recent visitors— believers originally hailing from Iran— have been a wonderful source of blessing and encouragement to the congregation. God’s providential timing never ceases to amaze. Matt also shares that their practice of having monthly fellowship luncheons has been a tremendous blessing, deepening friendships and communion among the saints there. Due to unforeseen family matters, the man who will lead the Mandarin Bible Study has not been able to begin as early as they hoped. Nonetheless, he is committed to starting the study in February. They will begin giving out invites and advertising this study at the Pasadena Farmers Market and other venues. Pray for the preparations and fruit from this ministry. In the interest of enabling members to be more actively involved in the various facets of church life, Pastor Cotta will be seeking to jumpstart Pasadena’s church committees at their upcoming congregational meeting. Pray for hearts and hands that are open and ready to serve.
