“Our great God has been merciful and His providence good in the midst of this pandemic. The isolation of the last two months has presented us with challenges, but also creative and stretching opportunities in ministry,” shares Pastor Carl Miller. For New Braunfels OPC, Zoom has become the new vehicle for worship, interpersonal connection, and outreach. “We’ve seen an uptick in online attendance, and folks who moved away from New Braunfels have been able to reconnect with the congregation.” Pastor Miller also recently taught a public webinar on “Grief and Perseverance in Suffering”. More webinars are in the works. As the governor of Texas has relaxed guidelines on in-person worship and church gatherings, Pastor Miller reports that they are excited to have started phasing back to worshiping together face to face this past Lord’s Day. Please pray for those who have experienced loss or strain in employment. Continue to pray for the churchas they return to their search for a new meeting place. Please pray for those in membership training, as that now resumes. Finally, please pray for New Braunfels OPC and the gospel going forth in the midst of this time as people slowly start going out in public again.
