Like most congregations, Neon OPC had to hit pause on in-person worship services starting March 22. However, Pastor Jay Bennett is glad to share that as of May 17 they have resumed in-person services and things feel somewhat back to normal. During the closure, they live-streamed on Facebook and moved their Bible studies to Zoom. A praise is that God used the online format of the Bible studies to draw in a few new people. Since Neon is continuing to see God work through the online Bible studies, they’ve not yet moved them back to in-person. The men’s addiction center next door to the church is still in the process of opening. The shutdown pushed their date back a bit. Pray that God would go before and provide an open door to minister to the men there. Interestingly, Pastor Bennett notes that giving increased during the shutdown. He asks you to pray that it will continue to increase, and that God will continue to grow the mission work.
