In the midst of uncertain times, the Lord is still blessing Grace and Truth Presbyterian Church. Pastor Ron Beabout shares that he is encouraged by the steadfastness of the congregation, rolling with each change without a word of complaint. The church has been meeting outdoors under a carport at one family’s farmstead for about eight Sundays (in addition to broadcasting online). This family has been incredibly hospitable and has shown care by also putting out a vase of flowers for each service. This may seem like a small thing, but it is precisely these small acts of thoughtfulness that can serve to build up the body. Ron also reports that attendance has been as good or better than they’ve ever had. The church has seen a few repeat visitors, including a single woman, a couple, and one young family. The couple and the young family have expressed their intention to keep coming – praise God! The public library where Grace and Truth usually meets is still closed, but they are hoping it reopens this fall. They are also hoping to restart their outreach to Lewistown and recanvass Mifflintown with mass mailing postcards this fall. One of the biggest challenges remains not being able to make real face to face contacts with people. Please pray that their outreach will be effective when the time comes. Ron also asks that you pray for general health matters for him and his wife Carol in the coming month.
