Pastor Joel Fick asks that we join in prayer with the congregation of Redemption OPC as they pursue organization as a new and separate congregation of the OPC. They give praise to the Lord for a good and godly slate of elder candidates who have been certified by the overseeing session for election. They also praise God for steady growth over the past year both in the increase in the number of families attending, but also an increase in the number of students from the community to whom they now minister. Most of all they give praise to the Savior for his faithfulness to grow them in their faith, hope, and love for Him and for one another. Read more - Home Missions Today (pdf)

Pastor Brian Chang asks us to rejoice in God’s faithfulness in adding to His church. Over the last several months, the Lord has continued to send growth on a steady basis. Recent growth includes a newly baptized family, members who had moved away but have returned, and a man related to one of the families in the church. More prospects are in sight through other contacts including friends and family members. Rejoice also that the ministry of the Word seems to be especially well received recently, and the people of the congregation seem to be growing in their faith as a result. Pray that the Lord will continue to bless them with new visitors. Pray also that He will bless their relationships with evangelistic contacts with whom they are

Pastor elect, Chad Mullinix, requests that we partner with the congregation of Holy Trinity Presbyterian in interceding and giving thanks to the Lord. In the face of a number of hospitalizations and a couple of recent deaths, the Lord has proven Himself to be the God of all comfort. Please pray for the Lord’s grace to sustain the two families who are grieving the loss of their loved ones and adjusting to life apart from them. Though we are saddened by these experiences of life in a fallen world, we ask that you would join us in praising our resurrected Savior who offers solid hope even in the face of death. It is that hope and comfort that the gospel offers that we are seeking to understand and apply to our lives as we continue joining for

The families of Lake OPC are thankful for the prayers of God’s people. We are realizing more and more that we stand only by God’s grace. Your prayers are an evidence of his gracious care and provision. Five men were approved to stand for election for the office of elder or deacon, and the pulpit committee is working to find the first regular pastor to lead the developing work forward. It was a busy summer with families’ schedules, diaconal projects, and the birth of Lake OPC’s newest member and Pastor & Kalynn Oldaker’s first grandson. Luke was born to Seth and Rachel Oldaker. Pastor Larry Oldaker, the organizing pastor of Lake OPC, baptized his grandson on October 2. Pray that visitors would attend the three weekly outreach

Pastor Chuck Muether reports that Hope Reformed Presbyterian Church is well into its new year of education programs. Classes include "Where in Church History is Herman, the Flying Dominie?" (Introduction to Ancient Church History) to new installments of "Hawkeye Presbyterianism" (Presbyterian History in Iowa) to the "Truth Project," to "Media Madness in the Church" series, and soon more of "Evenings with Uncle John" (Studies on the Institutes). Some of these studies will be uploaded on SermonAudio.com. Hope’s current pulpit ministry includes a series ("The Mystery of the Church) on the Epistle to the Ephesians. Efforts are being made toward adding a second worship service, but until there is a more suitable space for the evening, the
