Pastor Hoadley reports that few in Fargo associate “Presbyterian” with “faithful church” so Grace OPC’s web page clearly states that it focuses on “Christ-centered preaching and God-honoring worship.” One couple recently came to worship after looking at the website. The site also hosts Grace’s new introductory video, produced as part of this year’s Church Planter Training Conference. Another family and a college student have also visited in recent weeks. There is good unity in the congregation, and members are excited about upcoming outreach opportunities. A picnic outreach with free food and games is being planned, and Grace will have a booth at Fargo’s street fair, which attracts 100,000 people each year. Pray that the Lord will bless
Less than a year after moving into rented facilities at a strip mall, membership has grown to more than 50 people, and with still more people preparing to join, Providence OPC will soon need to find a larger worship facility. Pray that the Lord will provide a suitable facility at an affordable price. Nominations for officers are currently being accepted. Several men have been nominated, and Pastor Stevenson is preparing a training course. Pray for wisdom and strength for these men. A radio ad did not bear much fruit and has been discontinued, but the congregation’s web site and Sermon Audio traffic has been good. The Sunday evening Bible study has been well attended. Pray for wisdom as plans are being made to add an evening service.
Pastor Kent (Laurie) Harding sees the congregation of Sovereign Grace Reformed Church growing in unity. Sovereign Grace’s first elder was recently ordained and installed. Pray that God will protect and bless him as he begins his work. Pray too for wisdom for the session as they move “slowly and methodically” towards organization. The congregation is still spread out geographically. Visitors don’t come every week, but the congregation is growing little by little. Dr. Craig Troxel spoke at the congregation’s “With All Your Heart” conference, which provided an opportunity to better know some from outside the church. Another outreach event centered on the testimony of a former inmate. His presentation is now available on the church’s website
